You get a genre known as Visual Kei (translates to: Visual Style).
Derived from:"PSYCHEDELIC VIOLENCE CRIME OF VISUAL SHOCK"
The slogan of the band named X Japan, which layed the foundation for the genre back in the 80's.
The combination of aesthetics mainly draws from the Japanese and Emo culture,
Both known for being weirdly dark and colourful, while also looking androgynous.
And this combo just amplifies those aspects to an etreme degree.
A lot of people have noticed that this video in particular
Has a lot in common with the animated show Diabolik Lovers.
This is because of the horror love story theme they've gone for,
Very few songs can top a good horror themed music video,
So it isn't very surprising to find multiple horror entries on this list.

A wellbalanced mix of pop, country and accapella that is ass good ass it is silly.
This medley is a collection of some of the most popular songs about butts,
From Queen to Sir Mix-a-Lot, they've got a small but strong selection.
This medley as a whole sounds so different from the original songs,
You'd almost forget the songs in this medley aren't originally theirs.
However I can imagine you might want to listen to some of their original work.
For this I recommend their song Champagne Taste (on a Beer Budget).
Both songs are surprisingly wellmade and enjoyable.

The great thing about Vietnamese music is that ZingMP3 has free downloads for most songs.
This website is completely legal and internationally accessible.
Of course it still is a Vietnamese website, but its fairly user-friendly.
365DaBand has 4 members, each with their own solo carreer and YouTube Channels.
Their stylistic range can be discribed as anything but mainstream Vietnamese.
While most of their songs are wildly different from one another,
The members all like R&B, giving some consistency to their style.
However they also sometimes implement HipHop, Balad and/or (Alternative) Rock elements,
Meaning this consistency might not be as apparent as you might think.

With that out of the way, let's talk about this great music video.
This MV is a bit unsettelling to say the least, however it's a piece of art.
The cinematography is amazing and the attention to detail is layered deep and well.
The creativity that went into creating the haunting imagery is most commendable.
The song's dark and dramatic tone matches the video like chocolate and coffee.
If I had to name a video that breaks the mould, this would be my first pick.
Clearly I'm not the only one who likes this, at the moment this video has got
over 9.5 million views and a like-dislike ratio of an astonishing 58:1.

Sometimes a good title is all you need to catch people's interest,
However this song is more than just a good title.
This song is so funny, catchy, addictive, original and educational,
You'd almost forget the fact that it’s one elaborate comercial.
In those aspects this song isn’t too different from (What does) The Fox (say?).
Moreover both songs are from Nordic European Countries too.

Metal and J-pop tend to be a hilarious mismatch of styles, sounds and visuals,
The two genres are so inherently different that many believe it’s an impossible combo.
I was one of those people, until recently when I stumbled upon this song.
The inspiration taken from the metal genre had me interested,
However when I heard some of the iconic sounds of J-pop and metal melt and mix,
It left me dumbfounded how these genres were mixed together as if it’s nothing.
I know most people think of the most cutesy stuff when someone talks about J-pop,
however give this group 2 minutes of your time and you’ll never look at J-pop the same way ever again in the future.

Who toucha my spaghet? That is the question we all needed an answer to.
Luckilly Jimin seems to be the hero we needed, or at least his lips.
Calling you out with the words, and I quote, "I know you took a sample of my pasta"
This wacky song is a hilarious master piece, created by lip reading a music video.
And recreating it in the image of the "Bad Lip Reading" YouTube Channel.
The fact that this song is a direct parody on the record-breaking song Idol by BTS,
demands just a little extra respect, since ridiculing them is not taken lightly.
However the amount of professionalism put into this parody more than makes up for that.
In fact I can tell you the BTS ARMY is actually the biggest supporter of this video.
For those who haven’t seen the original, I highly recommend watching it.
Only if you have seen both videos you realise how well this parody is made.

What’s the best way to promote your already successful record company?
According to JYP, founder and owner of JYP Entertainment, it’s easy.
All you need to do is keep singing and creating music yourself.
While it is common knowledge among fans of Korean music
that JYP made his own songs in JYP Entertainment’s early days,
I was surprised to see how long he kept his solo carreer going.
It’s impressive that he still kept releasing songs for his own solo carreer,
while also being the manager of multiple successful idol groups.
For those who think you can be too old for your job, JYP strongly disagrees.
After 20 years of singing and creating and managing idol groups, (in 2014)
he claims to just be getting started. And according to Stray Kids, he was right.

Everyone is Lonely, doesn’t sound like a happy and cheerful song,
But the C major tune and lovefilled lyrics make this song cutesy and irresistable.
This songs’ paradoxical lyrics and overall positive message will hook anyone.
The sugar sweet tone and message contrasts well with the dark origin of the song,
about how people are so lonely they don’t even remember it could be different.
And while cutesy songs are definitely a hit or miss for many people, including me,
I haven’t found a single person who doesn’t like this song.

Who knew Severus Snape could sing? The answer? The Russians ofcourse.
Five-time winner of "Best Selling Russian Artist", Philiph Kirkorov,
finally made his way into my YouTube feed. Thanks to the YouTube channel Палата 6.
Who knows, maybe this’ll become one of my new music obsessions, could be worse.
This music video might seem offensive or weird to you, but maybe it’s normal in Russia.
Normal or not, this music video doesn’t look like the artist is already in his 50’s.
The video is shot pretty cinematically, which I wouldn’t expect based on what’s shown.
I have yet to listen to his Eurovision entries and the remake called Mood Colour Black,
which was first on itunes in 5 coutries and first on Apple Music in 10 different countries.

Debuting 2nd on the Korean Gaons Album Chart and the Billboard World Album Chart.
Keep in mind that PSY’s Gagnam Style also 2nd on Billboard’s World Chart was.
Stray Kids are the first K-pop group that didn’t get put together by auditions.
Instead they proved to JYP that the world needed their rebelling spirit,
by selling over 50000 copies of Mixtape, which is their worst selling album thusfar.
This Rock-infused Electronic K-pop song combines the raw dark rap of Changbin and Han with the amazing vocals of Seungmin and Woojin and bridges by leader Chan.
Which makes it an experience you’re not likely to forget anytime soon.

Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of this version of the song anymore.
However if you, like me, love the opening song to "The Nightmare before Christmass"
and you like a bit more wild and grungey music, maybe you’ll like this song.
Personally I kinda burned out on the screamo phase I had going on.
However, I liked the music for a reason, so I still enjoy the song.
Although maybe that’s just nostalgia talking, who knows?
As a sidenote: he also made an amazing cover of "Best of Me" by The Starting Line, which some of you might be interested in.

This song is written as a fansong for the infamous horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s.
The inspiration by Scott Cawthon’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is clear.
However Andrew turns things on its head, with lyrics like:
"There’s no escape, but then, who would want to leave?"
The light and sinister tones at the start contrast well with the heavy and dark electronic audio.
Creating a dreadfull feeling of intrigue within the listener.
Factor in the voice and lyrics and you get an upbeat, happy, dark, threatning, cult feeling.
This feeling shows just how masterfully written and composed this song actually is.
